Awesome, one time my friend ate a bunch of shrooms, and puked them up instantly, and he went inside, and the dog(his dog) came and ate all the vomit-y shrooms.
Sounds disgusting, but the dog tripped.

My gf decided to give some to our dog. My dog is about 9 months old, 45lbs and very hyperactive. Colie/Auss. Shepheard I think. . My gf hates mushrooms, and she hates my dog. I guess she wanted to see the dog freak out, but the exact opposite happend. She has never done shrooms and does not understand that it is usually a good experience.
Your GF is disturbed. She hates mushrooms and tried to poison your dog with it for all she knew.
Whatever you think or how you want to fill in the blanks: bottom line is that your GF tried to poison the dog you love with the drug she hated.
We may never know what your dog did feel. It might have been a highly traumatic experience which wasnt readily appearant or just another miracle in a world where you don't have to hunt for food as the tasty bits are just dished out for you next to a bowl of crystal clear water.
But take it from me: It is a sign of a disturbed personality if you deliberately "poison" your boyfriends beloved dog with "drugs" you hate. Maybe she is pathologically jealous of the attention you give to your dog and not to her. She hates your dog, she hates your drug so she tries to poison your dog with it. Has the beastie been ill lately? And what was the cause?
This is criminal behavior and an act of violence against your dog.
Your observations of the dog's behavior were interesting but its unethical to feed an animal psychedelics for purposes that are not directly scientifically useful.
It is not important what we think what mushrooms do. Its important what she things they do, and thats poison a dog she hates with a drug she hates for sadistic or murderous purposes. Does she for instance realize they are low-toxic at all?
This was, by your description, done out of spite and that makes it at least cruel and perhaps its a sign of a mental disorder.
If i were you I would be very alert at unexpected behavior and illness of your dog.
You will, like most boyfriends, jump into denial but I hope other posters will agree this is a fucked-up thing to do to a dog.

Fucked up without a doubt. If the mushrooms tell you to leave her, do it, don't trip again until you are not with her or you are in a for a ride through hell. Your own private hell, and she will be the devil orchestrating it all. Be careful, man. This chick is not right at all.

Hey don't feel dependent to someone you dont want to be with. Unless you will have no option but become completely homeless you can end your relationship at any time. If you feel you need a reason, how about her trying to poison you nine months old dog?
She has nothing to offer your hand can't do for you
Psychedelics bring you in contact with your inner self. A consistant pert of your inner self is the thought of breaking up the relationship. Give it some good thinking!

Not claiming to know, just putting out a possibility. Listening to the mushrooms is key, if you go against the things they reveal you are in for a tough time if you trip more. This should be pretty well known.

Didn't you read? He didn't, his girlfriend did. I can see where it is wrong and perverse but if you were in the same situation gema, would you shove your finger down it's throat and make it puke? If I found out she did that, I'd first say it was over and then I'd try to care for the dog where I was away from her. Imagine if your girlfriend fed a baby infant shrooms, think of how traumatic that would be for you. The baby might not know the difference because it is still developing and everything is new, but what if it had a "bad trip"? I'd want to be with it to keep it as happy as possible. All in all I think she sounds like a sadist b****. I'd get away from her in all ways. Who knows, you might wake up one morning with no remembrance of the night before and you're laying in a tub with ice, missing your liver.

I agree with Wiccan. She sounds like a very disturbed girl. Domesticated animals have a trust associated with those who (are supposed to) take care of them. Your dog didn't have a choice in the matter. The animal is conditioned to eat what it is offered. It assumes that the food given to it is safe to eat. Mushrooms contain psilocybin because it is a defense mechanism. If ingested by an animal, they do not trip because they do not possess the intellect to process what is going on. All they experience is a state of confusion. No swirly patterns, no intense revelations, just confusion and fear. The sniffing, jumping and running you observed were probably a result of extreme fear and panic. Your dog most likely did not have a good trip. Your girlfriend is dangerous. I suggest you convey to your girlfriend that what she did was wrong. I also suggest you find someone else to spend your time with.

Since wiccan already put it eloquently there's only the crued way of saying it. If my gf tried to poison one of my three dogs, which I love very much I would have punched her square in the fucking jaw and sent her packing. PS. I have never hit a woman and don't plan to ever, but shit, if she did something as sadistic as trying to poison, maybe even hopefully kill, who knows what she's thinking by doing that, one of my dogs, I'd have broken the bitches jaw for sure. Do yourself a favor and leave that chick before she kills your dog, than you'd have to kill her, and noone likes prison.

Well said. My dog will never have the opportunity to ingest any of my stash, regardless of what it is. There's a trust built up in our relationship, and she KNOWS I would never feed her something dangerous. Get away from that girl as soon as you're able to. That's just BAD NEWS waiting to happen.

I can't believe anyone would do that to a poor puppy dog. I have to admit I am feeling quite violent towards your girlfriend right now. People who don't have respect for animals really revolt me.

dude, i'm happy things went ok. you just don't give shrooms to a animal, especially mans best friend it's good that she had a good time but she could've been killed by the shrooms if things went wrong. don't trip with your girlfriend anymore or at least not with animals in the vicinity. if she hates shrooms and your dog... bad combination.

I don't think that iliketoplay being responsible or irresponsible about drugs around an animal has anything to do with it, it's not like the dog jumped up on the table and ate an nice big pile of shrooms sitting there, his maniac of a girlfriend gave them to the dog, he should have been more careful with his drugs around that specific person :P. I've got no or very litte(so as not to be a hypocrite) respect for someone who can't respect all of the creatures that live on this magnificent earth. her thought process about that was based on hurt and anyone who thinks like that can't be right in the head.

Well if she thinks it's such a good idea to dose sentient beings with tryptamines, without their knowledge or permission, maybe you should make her a special dinner? You could see how she likes being unwillingly subjected to a psychedelic state without being prepared, since it's such a keen thing to do. Also since she dosed a dog, maybe give her like 9 grams to make up for the dose/size difference for a dog.

It is ok to give an animal anything. everyone that replies tot his negetivly needs to think it through harder. The animal is an animal! It lived on this planet befor us and it ate all kinds of things such as its own shit. and deadly mushrooms to psycadelic mushrooms and lived. Dogs over all can handle much more than us. I mean chocolate will kill a dog not mushrooms. And giving your dog chocolate seems fine without thinking it through.

You could see how she likes being unwillingly subjected to a psychedelic state without being prepared, since it's such a keen thing to do. Also since she dosed a dog, maybe give her like 9 grams to make up for the dose/size difference for a dog.
Excellent idea. I would do this to my own mother if she did this to our dog. But i mean, if the dog ate the shrooms of its own will (like jumped into the bag and munged out) then thats ok. You notice when u give a dog something it sniffs it for a while, look at it, plays with it then eats... not as much when it's something they've found but when u give them something they do this a lot more than usual. either way, dose the bitch
