classical music Rocks

hey, try Classical music while tripping (though silence/sounds of sea waves/wind/birds chirping, i feel is preferable as i trip nowadays)...
though i dont really enjoy classsical much when sober, but Verdi's La traviata,Stravinsky's Firebird, Bach,Tchaikovsky &Handel & Mendelsohn sound Wonderful(Really), while the music which i like ,i.e,Metal, avant Garde,Trance & rock all sounded 'unsuitable' & didnt match the vibes....it's only my opinion...peace

hahaha. classical music "rocks". sorry i'm a music nerd.

i can understand how it's suitable for a trip. classical music's compositional style caters to the ear's tonal tendencies which creates very smooth music that's easy on the ears.

i suppose i'll have to give it a try... although jazz is my thing.

Hmmm, any of you guys heard of the Mozard Effect?

If you have, you'll understand why some classical music can be VERY good for a trip, it can alter your concious state, and adjust your heart rate/breathing rate/brain signals/etc.

Very interesting to notice the reaction between certain time signatures in classical music, and the effects it would have in combinations with psychadelics.

So it goes.

Bach is awesome. I like classical music while tripping or on normal occasions.

try the Clockwork Orange Soundtrack--electronic versions of famous classical compositions.

Philip Glass is also great -his Glassworks album is fantastic. also listen to Passages, a collaboration between Ravi Shankar and Philip Glass that blows me away.

speaking of ravi... i find classical indian music is great. has a spiritual vibe to it from the drones and quarter tones and such. i especially like tabla percussion. the rhythms are so much more advanced.

i also like a little bit of jazz-indian fusion a la Shakti, featuring john mclaughlin and zakir hussain. that is some great music.

Vivaldi - 4 seasons gave me a full on-nightmare once ( the part where all the drums and horns blow ) on 3 hits of acid ...

After Vivaldi; Mozart came , and I felt like I was being pushed around by some horrible master-genius (his piano can sound very dramatic)

So be careful too: classical music is very, very powerful in expanding emotions.
:p
