cakes in martha?

i have recently graduated to a martha setup for my casings. now i would like to get rid of my fruiting box for my cakes. i know cakes and casings like different humidity :frown: . has anyone found a way around this problem? i thought maybe if i put the cake in a dish with perilite in the bottom it would raise the rh around the cake, yet not to much to affect the casings. :confused: this is theory. has anyone done this or have advise? peace.

Simply put the cakes in a small plastic container, or even a glass vase topped with plastic wrap. I am currently fruiting a few cakes left over from my BRF cake days in a glass vase next to my bed.

I keep my rh at 95 for casings, and .... every damn day I have to clean out water sop from the bottom. marthas are not good for cakes because all of the condensation will go to the bottom, where you cannot fit a tub under, and have to manually soak the water up w/ a towel.
