I'm a new amateur mycologist ....and i have only grown 2 strains Golden Teachers and Ecuador's. with the GT's i got very good fruiting to occur...in a matter of hours i saw one shroom go from 4 inches to about 9 inches...i could almost watch it grow!!!!....i dosed about 3.5 g's but to my disappointment i didn't get very many visuals but a really good body high...the EQ's were my first to grow and i didn't know much about dosage and figured to pick what i had. (which i assume now was about 7-8 grams) i went to my favorite reservoir and split them up with 4 of my friends.we didn't get too high more like a very strong marijuana high ...and i haven't had the chance to grow any since.I have always had a problem with getting visuals i don't know if its me going into the trip thinking i want VISUALS!!!! and counter acting what could have takin place ... .so my question is what is the easiest/best strain to grow for great visuals....or should i just take 8 grams

'visuals' are a very strong effect of hallucinogens and with it comes the other strong effects, like mind loops and other crazy shit i don't like. strong visual hallucinations are fun though...and sometimes hilarious! eat a few more wet shrooms, you're sure to hallucinate.
i'm partial to the PF race. i think they sometimes go by the name of Matias Romero or amazonian...

Contrary to popular belief, mushrooms aren't all about visuals. That isn't what makes them enjoyable.
However, if you really really want visuals, you can try an MAOI to change your trip. I used passionflower, which you can get at a lot of organic stores, and had a HUGE trip. Things were morphing into eachother... It was too powerful though, I would have enjoyed a regular mushroom trip more

Those mind loops aren't fun, at all! You get stuck on something, or a series of somethings that just goes around and around like a fucking broken record.

I know it helps somehow, but I am not sure what. Maybe it helps to build your serotonin back up? I'll look it up for you.

monoamine oxidase inhibitors: Once the brain's three neurotransmitters, known as monoamines (serotonin, norepinephrine, and dopamine), have played their part in sending messages in the brain, they get burned up by a protein in the brain called monoamine oxidase, a liver and brain enzyme. If too many monoamines are absorbed, it leads to a chemical imbalance in the brain.
Antidepressants known as monoamine oxidase inhibitors, or maoi, work by blocking this cleanup activity. When the excess neurotransmitters don't get destroyed, they start piling up in the brain. And since depression is associated with low levels of these monoamines, it's not surprising that increasing the monoamines eases depressive symptoms.
Unfortunately, monoamine oxidase doesn't just destroy those neurotransmitters; it's also responsible for mopping up another amine called tyramine, a molecule that affects blood pressure. It is due to the tyramine that taking an MAOI requires that you stick with an extremely stringent diet, otherwise, you risk potentially devastating side effects to your body.
Basically, they shut down the cells that digest psilocybin (in this case) to your brain, so no psilocybin is lost to your digestive system, it all goes to your head.. MAOIs can be dangerous because of the tyramine thing, and should be studied before using..

Yes MAO-I must increase the potency as it inhibits the enzyme that breaks down serotonine and dopamine but on my personal experiences I don't find it so much difference.

psilocin is also a monoamine and is broken down by MAO

note the slight chemical differences between these

ALSO, if you plan on eating alot, i mean ALOT, make sure you're nowhere around 'no tresspassing' areas and other peoples property. a strong trip or hallucination can recreate your world entirely. like you may end up scaling a mountain to get to the mysterious and enchanting looking castle at the top, but in reality you're slowly crawling up somebody's front lawn towards their house.
i remember people used to eat rediculous amounts of shrooms. like in the hundreds of grams range and eating dried mushrooms until they were full of them like being full from a big meal or buffet.
