MJ in Thailand: Copes, Mycenas and Snakes and other Tidbits
    #4242148 - 06/01/05 12:07 AM (12 years, 3 months ago)

Well rather dry except for a few midnight til 2 am in the morn monsoons. My samuiensis and cube field chopped in half.

Went to a place where cows wander and looked for an hour. Found some Mycenas, 11 Copelandia cyanescens and several Coprinus, Psathyrellas, and some small puffballs and a few shrooms I did not identify.

Here are a few images.

First I saw some beautiful Mycena mushrooms . they were all over in the Mimosa patches.

Bent down to photograph this next image and this friggin coconut snake attacked me. Spat and dove at me about five times. Was hard to photograph him. Wasn't sure if he was poisonous or not. I did photo one green viper one year.

Another grouping of mycenas.

Then I found this one Copelandia cyanescens.

Then I spent the next 45 minutes checking out about five hundred partially decomposed cow turds.

Found a total of 11 Copes altogether.

Here are two more images. I did not get on the ground close up because when I photographed the first cope posted above, a friggin carpenter ant went up the leg into my shorts and bit me right on the head of you know where. I fucking killed him with a blow that hurt worst than the stinging bite. They got in my hair and on my arms.

Anyway here are the other two blurry Cope images. rTried to correct some of the damge in photoshop.

well that is all for this morning of june 1, 2005 at 11:05 A.M. in the morn.

have a shroomy day and hope everyone does better than i have today.

We need rain. Also a shortage of buffalo and cattle. I have to go into the interior jungle to find them.

YOur right DDH, I am havving problems sizing images and filing them here on this computer. I h just reshrank a bunch of Mycenas and thought i posted them. I accidently labeled them flower 1 and flower 2. check the properties.

I di have Mycenoid shroom images but did not post them and thought that i had.

have a shroomy day,

mj
