Losing the magic

I would be interested in hearing your experiences if you have experienced a "loss of the magic" of tripping.
My trips have been getting less and less interesting, amazing, and just plain... trippy with time. It is possible that this is due to using them too often, as I have been averaging about once every two weeks. I have had some amazing trips, but lately they have seemed frustrating, as I keep grasping to understand the psychadelic world yet I never get any answers -- just strangeness and confusion.
I definitely still trip -- tolerance is not the issue. It's just that the trips are much less magical, significant, exciting and fun than before. Now they are more confusing and tiring and the hallucinations are less frequent and much less vivid. It's almost like my brain has learned that this other realm is "not legitimate" and tries to fight the mushrooms.
Has anyone experienced anything similar.. and what did you do about it? Did the magic ever come back?
Thanks

I think you're doing them too often, like it's a habit or something.. try waiting a few months then come back to them
I did them heavily for a while and eventually found myself with no desire to do them, after about 6 months or so I got interested in them again and I did them and it was more intense and rewarding.
the way I see it is, when you trip you analyze all your knowledge you have acquired and get really introspective and all sorts of unexplainable stuff happens... so if you keep tripping over and over just accessing the same stuff it gets boring... but if you leave the shrooms alone for a while and come back after you've acquired all the knowledge, it's fresh and exciting.
I got super technical there. it's hard to explain this kind of concept.

Well tell your brain it IS legitimate ...After all your perception of "unaltered" ,"pure","holy","logical" "reality" is filtered and modulated by chemical reactions in your brain in the highest order (just think of neurons)
As far as how often you do it look at my responce to your "MDMA responsible use" thread.
The message boilds down to : Dont stick to "minimum safe/without tolerance time between doses" but spare them apart. Can you do once a year a big meaningfull dose?
Unfortunatelly many people mistake psychoactives for "lifestyle".It certainly isnt.

Take a break man...right now I'm sort of on a self-imposed break from psychedelics myself. I usually trip once a month, each time fantastic, but then there comes a time where I just don't feel an urge to trip as much and so I take a break. It seems to happen around the same time of year each time too.
My break is going to end in mid-June when I'm going to kick off the summer with a healthy dose of shrooms.
Listen to what your mind is telling you...if you have to ask "should I do them less" then you probably should.
Good luck and safe travels.

Just like everyone said, a break is what you need here. I had the same thing happen with mdma, but never with mush.

From a few people I've heard, MDMA lost magic is more likely to still be lost after a year of not rolling, to some degree. Obviously it differs from person to person. But, is it true that time doesn't quite heal the situation with MDMA as well?

The e-magic came back after about 6 months with me. It wasn't the same as my first time or two, but it still blew me away. I really had forgotten what rolling was like. I would agree that its easier to lose the magic with the e then with the mush. The magic from the mush has never gone away, even in times of regular use.
