My forum & cartoons ? Osama not evil!

I started up a forum devoted to discussing the current war, and where I can post my political cartoons? I got a great caracature of Bush, I must say. I capture his imbecility quite nicely. http://clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/dubyadisease Here's my first post, in case anyone wants to head over and disillusion me: "I'm surprised that so many people are swallowing, hook line and sinker, the obvious hoodwinking that America has been attacked by evil terrorists because they hate our freedom and democracy. In Dubya's last conference he went on about how he was "amazed" that so many people in the Islamic world "hated" us, because "Like most Americans, I just can't believe it because I know how good we are." Somehow we accept this despite what the alleged ring leader, Osama bin Laden has himself articulated. In his recent televised video statement, bin Laden didn't say anything about "democracy" or "freedom." He expressed that same sorts of grievances as he's expressed before against American foreign policy: the U.S. sanctions on Iraq (which have resulted in over 500,000 children's deaths), the presence of U.S. troops in Saudi Arabia (the holey land), and the American backing of the Israeli occupation." Significantly, one only gets to see excerpts from the translated video, or his latest written speech. The parts referring to sanctions in Iraq, troops on Saudi Arabia, or his accusations about Hiroshima are omitted. Only his threats are presented. And now we are trying to stop the airing of the video, or, I gather future communications from bin Laden, because they may supposedly contain coded military instructions for the Taliban. I think we just don't want his message to get out there. We don't want the public to know the other side of the story, otherwise we might not support the "war on terrorism." Part of my purpose in starting this forum is to share information and perspectives broader than the one that we are being beaten over the head with. In order to have an objective opinion one has to look at both sides, and one can't look at the other side if one convinces oneself that it is "evil."

Well if you're on Osama's side, then why don't you get the hell out of our country? No one is keeping you here.

****He expressed that same sorts of grievances as he's expressed before against American foreign policy: the U.S. sanctions on Iraq (which have resulted in over 500,000 children's deaths), **** This is again complete and utter bullshit. If you want to be taken serious about anything you say you better get your "make believe" stats strait. So tell me smart guy did the "IRAQI news" give you that stat?
