My Babies!

These are my babies, 12 half-pints in total. Sorry for the not so good pictures, first time with a new camera. They have been slow colonizers, but no contamination.

Jars 1-4

Jars 5-8 Oops, kinda cut that one off.

Jars 9-12
I think they are doing well, it is my first time. I have lots of patience, so I think I am set!
Comments are welcome. Sorry about the bad and large size of the pictures. I will get better at this I promise.

How long has it been ?

Are you going to case them or just use the cakes

They are cambodians, I heard that they are fast colonizers. I plan to case them using the vermiculite and the crumbled cakes. If you know of a better and simpler method of casing.

exciting!!!! I'm in the midst of my attempt too -- 8 1/2 pint jars, but they look very similar...Thai Koh Samui, about 10 days (i'm not keeping track...oh well...i'm very excited anyways!)

so far i only saw a bit of rhizomorphic growth and the rest has looked similar to your mycelial growth there...all i have for heat right now is a heating pad which keeps temp aroun 79-87 degrees, but there is that fluctuation...EXCITEMENT!!! Dude we're gonna be rollin in little buddies soon! Congrats dad!

looking good! my friend is at about the same stage with the same strain! he had a jar of rye that colonized really fast though it was innoculated 48hrs later than the pf cakes and was ready to be cased a couple of days ago. keep in touch my thai KS brothers.

Where did you get that awesome rye flour, I have read about it. But I figured I would try the rice first as a learning experience.
