Please tell me this isn't contamination

Ok, I just looked at my cake again and it is fruiting, but after I picked it up, I'm starting to notice that it is taking on a blue tint towards the top part. I washed my hands and I thought that would be enough. Please tell me this isn't a contamination.

no, this is just the mycelium bruising a bit. can be caused by the mycelium being directly in contact with water, or by the cake drying out, or by physical contact causing briusing.

Oh my God that is exactly what I wanted to hear. I thought I might have to scrap my babies. Thank you.

Just in case you wanted a second opinion, that's perfectly normal. Psilocyin oxydizes to a blue tint when damaged, either by compressing the mycelium or exposing it to unhealthy amounts of water or heat
