a little story...

About 8 years ago i was working for a guy that had a horse stable. I had taken a few mushroom's so i was kind of curious and took a look at the turd pile that was dumped outside from the stall's. every morning from about an hour before sunrise till about 2 hourse after, there were these really trippy looking shroom's in the manure pile.
They were about 6 inches tall at most, they had skinny white stem's, the top of the cap was a really dark purple/blue/black colour, the under side from what i remember was blackish. I went out and picked them one morning and put them into a plastick bag(the noobie i was then) and they all tuned into a blueish/purplish liquid in the ziplock baggy by the time i got home.

So i'm wondering....what the heck did i have there? Think they might have been psycodelic?

p.s.they were found in the newengland area.

Sounds like Inky Cap - Coprinus. Seems like you're describing the self digesting stage. Did they look like this?

nopeh...the cap's were much darker coloured....kind of a blue/purple on black i'd say. About 3 inches across, and totally flat.
