I've had some pains in my right pinky for a while, at least a few months if not longer, and today I actually looked at it. To my surprise, it's almost as if my right pinky is crooked! It's like somebody bent it in the first joint towards my ring finger, and after looking at my other pinky, I know it's only this right one.
I'm not sure if I was born with this or what, as I'm the person who might overlook a major detail on his body like that, but does anybody know of this? Is it a disorder? Are people born with crooked pinkies, and do they cause pain and such?
-------------------- So long as you are praised think only that you are not yet on your own path but on that of another.
Both of my pinkies are bent at the 3rd knuckle. The bend actually conforms perfectly with my index finger but the cause is unknown. The only thing I've had to watch out for is the way I weight the pinkie while climbing. Because it's bent it has the habit of twisting painfully if I'm not paying attention. Oh, and it CAN lock out on me if I straighten it all the way in cold weather. The finger locks straight and snaps back into being mobile. This can be somewhat painful.
The bend angle is about 20degrees for each finger.
