Word to the wise

last night my buddy was up until the weee hours of the morning...working on a little project...exhausted, he took his pans cyans mycelia spawn and at one point mixed it with the compost with his bare hands- just trying to speed up the mixing process...
cleaned himself up and retired to bed....

1.5 hours later while resting in bed, his thoughts start to race....he gets cold as hell....he begins to hear voices in his head and sees lights in the dark. this was particularly frightning as the level of the upcoming trip could not be determined. turned out to be very mild....jesus.. dont forget to use a spoon.

i have never heard of psilocybin/cin getting you messed up by handling spawn... thats wierd man... u sure u just weren't dreamin or somethin?

I noticed that as well... after handling things for a while, sometimes things get little strange. i just attributed it to sleepiness or whatever since I have never heard of absorbing psilocybin through the skin.
has anyone else experienced this?

i was a little embarrest to admit that this was MY bad..not my buddy's....i actually have never tripped on anything before...i had a lot of cleaning to do afterwards..at least an hours worth..then showered..and it wasnt until i tried to concentrate on falling asleep that my eye began to twitch rapidly...then i began to have this flood of thoughts rush through my head..thoughts that i never have...pictures of wagon wheels and clouds in my head....i understood you have to be very careful with the handling of lsd, but i was just too tired to think straight and went ahead and dipped in there....i didnt get any body buzz at all ..just these bizarre thoughts...they lasted thru the night which made it impossible to sleep.

I have never heard of this, but I like it! You do have to be careful when handlind lsd, I think we all know THAT story. (One fateful day the proffesor handled his forgotten invention and BLAM, the first acid trip.)

Actually, I have had this happen to me once. I think it wasn't the part of the cake that actually was harder, but at the bottom of the jar there was a lot of this goo that i though was just uncolonize brown rice with too much water. I scooped it out with my hands, and about 10-15 min later when I finished my task, went to bed. Or rather, tried too, since the ceiling started to breathe a little and small flashes of light kept apearing. It was very mild, but I'm pretty sure it must have been mushroom induced.
