hey guys and gals. i've been browsing this web site for quite a while nowlearning alot of good info but AFOAF still has a question. that AFOAF has 3 jars of b+ (brf+verm) that are almost colinized 4 equador's(brf+verm) that 2 have been birthed as cakes and 2 have been cased in strait verm half inch layer on bottom and half inch layer on top. both layers are moist. no contams!! the cakes have been in the teranium of just perlite 2'' thick with half inch of water. they have been in there for like a week and the mycelium is starting to puff up just a little bit. Should i have seen pins buy now!! i use mostly sunlight coming in from the window some time i will click on a flouroecent if its a cloudy day. the temp for the cakes+ casing stay around 75-78 degrees. i fan them quite often.??will the cakes not pin if they are too dry??? another thing his jars took like three weeks to colonize could they have been too dry????thanx a bunch

+oh yea about the jars they ar just ball canning 1/2 pint with four holes in the lid with the rubber seal down. i have seen alot of moisture build up on all my jars so i kept the lids on but un screwd untill the moisture went away and the tighten them back on.sgould there bere a moisture buildup on the inside of the jars????

ive noticed mositure build up on my ball 1 pints jars to mayeb i should try and rid of it. thx for bringin that up i hope its normal can somone answer this question :)

take the cakes and put them on some wet verm.  you can use some small tupperwarr containers. this sould do the trick,
