Say i have a large pedro cutting, if i wanted to make use of this would an 8 inch long, 4 inches in diameter 1.7lb slice be sufficient? I hate going by length since width varies so much, so does anyone that weighs theirs know if 1.7 pounds sound good for strong effects?
i know most people take 12-18 inches, but this thing is fat so im not so sure if i need that much.. im not worried about overdosing as much as underdosing so keep that in mind
thanks, day tripper

If youre worried about underdosing, do more. Mescaline is a gentle and calming medicine, and it is easy to handle a high dose. Whenever I do San Pedro mescaline, it is always a 3+ foot dose. Try 5 feet if you want an experience that is not as intense as a higher dose of mushrooms/LSD but will be more profound and enlightening imo.
When making a dose of San P that is this high, there is one difference in the preparation you need to consider. If you follow MushroomJohn's San Pedro preparation guide, you'll have to change one step. Instead of cutting the cactus into starts, cut strips off of the ribs and only use the darker green flesh of the cactus; discard the white center. This is wasting a small amount of alkaloids but is necessary if you want to see the full potential of mescaline using San P.

It'd be hard to hold down, in your stomach.

MAO-I's should be used with causion, if your using phenethylmines.
It seems alot of people try it and i havnt heard any negative effects..
And Day tripper your consistant cactus dosage posts could be easily answered by a search. And you would find that dosage of cacti is unrealistic as it depends on the season, watering scedual and even more so the genetics of the cacti.. Just start fairly low and up the dose (of the same cacti) if it isnt what your looking for.
