Homemade Jam!
    #4220322 - 05/25/05 11:32 PM (13 years, 28 days ago)

I made my first batch of jam last night. Strawberry-rhubarb, and it's good. I had a bunch of rhubarb that needed a recipe, so...

It was strange to finally use half pint jars for their intended use. Anyone else make jam, preserves, fruit spread, etc.?

One word: YUM

Acid doesn't give you truths; it builds machines that push the envelope of perception. Whatever revelations came to me then have dissolved like skywriting. All I really know is that those few years saddled me with a faith in the redemptive potential of the imagination which, however flat, stale and unprofitable the world seems to me now, I cannot for the life of me shake.

The jars look familiar, but I can't say I recognize the contents.
