mimosa hostillis?
    #4218589 - 05/25/05 01:37 PM (18 years, 10 months ago)

Could someone please tell me if they believe this to be the "holy tree", mimosa hostillis? It has many large (2-4 in.) thorns on the more mature branches. I have been hoping to find one and there are quite a few of these in a park near by. Unfortunately I haven't witnessed the blooms of these trees, but I have noticed a signifficant difference from the "silk tree", mimosa. These trees are much taller and heartier, not to mention the large thorns! I have found many pics online and none are sufficient. Many are too close to tell for sure and could easily be misidentified. Any help would be appreciated.

"There is a world beyond ours, a world that is far away, nearby, and invisible. And there is where God lives, where the dead live, the spirits and the saints, a world where everything has already happened and everything is known. That world talks. It has a language of its own. I report what it says. The sacred mushroom takes me by the hand and brings me to the world where everything is known. It is they, the sacred mushrooms, that speak in a way I can understand. I ask them and they answer me. When I return from the trip that I have taken with them, I tell what they have told me and what they have shown me."

I'm in west TN. I'm not saying that they are from here, but then again a lot of plants that are here aren't from here either. Plants travel by man's choice too. I haven't seen them anywhere else and there are a lot of them in a small area. Sometimes I'm a little too open minded for conspiracy and psychotropic plant farming for ritual use! My mind tends to get ahead of itself sometimes. Thanks for the feedback though.

man, you were way too optimistic if you thought it really could be MH in US, it's NOT a ornamental plant used around, and perhaps you may give up on this species because it won't tolerate cool weather and snow, like i believe to happen there.
perhaps it could be an acacia...
welcome to the world of plants!

Thanx for the welcome, but I'm only new w/DMT containing plants. Do you have any info on acacias? I'm very interested!
