Hey, What's up? Thought I'd offer a little bit of what I've learned about Martha's over the last few month's. I just got my first one up and running a little over a month ago. First, I would check out a greenhouse, three or four tier, over a martha. They range anywhere in price from $20 on sale at Big Lot's

to $49.99 at most garden centers.

From what I understand, martha's aren't real cheap, and by the time you build your own shelf unit. Just made sense to me to get a greenhouse.

I tried a ultrasonic but found I didn't need it.

Anybody interested in a trade?lol.

Was checking out the Goodwill, imagine that, and found this.

Sunbeam Cool Spray Humidifier for of course, 2 dollar. It was an impeller type just like my cool mist so I decided, what the heck. Got it home, fired it up, and watched a fog spread across the room. I was quite surprised. Well I decided to use it with my greenhouse. Went with the on 10 minutes every 2 hours. After letting everything run for a day I started the process of tweaking everything in. After running at 72 degrees and %97 humidity. Decided to cut back on the additional cool spray a little. Vicks Cool Mist was running 24/7.
Well, I eventually had to cut the additional cool mist back to sitting it in the corner waiting for me to get another greenhouse. Mine was still running at %93 with only the Vick's running. I've placed 5 casing's in it, still nothing but a cool mist, bottom is not all taped up, and humidity is still holding at %90-%92. Oh, and these results are being monitored by this,

which wound up  salt testing at %74. Only reads %72 here but that was only after an hour or so. Read %74 when checked much later.

.

I keep one of those recievers by the thermostat of my home and set it to keep the temp. in the greenhouse at 70 degrees. Within reason, of course. If it gets too cold I use a little remote controlled/programable ceramic heater I got on sale at HD for $19.99. Was normally around $80. Just set it over by the greenhouse and set it to whatever gets the temp. right.

Well, guess what I'm trying to say is, know what you might have to do by reading all you can. But don't do it until you have to.
Good Luck.
Peace,Love,Happiness and Harmony.

That's a great deal. I'd start by hooking up your coolmist and seeing what your humidity gets to after running for 24 hours. Then you can see to what extreme you'll have to go to get it right. I'd recommend one of those Taylor therm/hygrometer monitor's. They run $41.99. Are very , very accurate. Good Luck.

So Hippie, are you saying you are using both that reptile humidifier or just the Sunbeam?

I imagine that when fruits start forming, lots I hope, I might have to add something to increase it. I would think the forming fruits would take some of the humidity out of the air.

Yeah that is what I am thinking too. How much was that reptile humidifier? Does it work good?

That one was $44.99. They work real well. Almost too well. Are a little messy as thet tend to throw water in the air a bit. I fond putting it in my cool mist and turning it on every now and then worked real good. The inside of the cool mist filled with real damp air and was carried in with the air. No mess. If you're interested in one I have another one never out of the box. PM me if you might be interested. Good Luck.
