ive got a martha stye setup with true martha spirit. humidity is an ultrasonic humidifier set at 90% auto it cost $6 at value village. heat is my blue glitter motion lamp. basically a lava lamp. and its working, it works beautifully. so its a 4 shelfer. top shelf humidifier, could also hold a casing. second down has a casing in waiting for fruit and the lava lamp,, also a single blue christmas light. third shelf down has 2 colonizing straw trays covered. bottom is supplies.
if nessisary the unit can hold and fruit 7-9 casings.
basically i was puzzling over how to keep it warm. and i was close to just doing some tubs but that just turns out with radiant underheating underneth making small flushes and alot of aborts.
now ive got warm humid air. the humidifier automatically makes the air humid. the lava lamp manages to keep the area warm and lit.
ill take ome pics when theres some fruit. probablly later this week.

top 2 shelves
casing, just pulled out of the fridge this morning
opening the front reduced humidity and causes the ultrasonic to kick in with the vapor. as can be seen here, normally it doesnt run only when you open it and/or the humidity drops.

well, ive been using the third shelf down for colonizing bulk. but the temp really dropped in that area so i moved the lava lamp to the bottom shelf now evrything is perfect. i keep it covered withj a black sheet and grateful dead poster. but if i lift it up it looks really cool, like sparking blue patterns all over it on the bottom then a glowing center with shadows of boxes, and a shady top that occasionally drops clouds. really trippy, yup its not enough to be growing shrooms, i have to look like a mad scientist practicing weird scince while doing it.
heres a pic, sorry, i cant really show the sparkling or shadows the flash kills it and the camera wont take otherwise.
these pics were taken when i first put it together. its more wrapped up in layers now to keep temps

By the way everyone, you can only get those Martha closets at K-Mart if I am not mistaken. Walmart doesn't have them.
Mitchnast, where did you get those shelves? I need some like that. Home Depot?

ThX for the PikZ m8, I'm gathering material's for a 60'' Martha. The pikS help to visualize what I'm going to be building.
I'm going to use a thermostat/humidistat combo, and tie in a cooling device for the thermostat. I live on the 3rd floor so I can't forsee my closet getting below fruiting temp's by the time i get this going.
I guess the Ultrasonic would be a good idea, cause that will insure humidity&heat at the same time. Then I just need to find a good cooling contraption.

hmmmm...So do you think i would need 2 thermostat's(1 for heat, one for cooling) and then the seperate humidistat?
I'm going to try karoteK--->grain---->horsepoo. assuming that is a good process...what heating, cooling, and humidifying equipment do you think I should get? I'm thinking a lamp for heat, ultra sonic for humidity, and cool mist for cooling. Think that would work rite?

And the ride goes up and down and round and round. It has thrills and chills and it's very brightly coloured and it's very loud and it's fun, for a while. Some people have been on the ride for a long time and they begin to question, is this real, or is this just a ride? And other people have remembered, and they come back to us, they say, "Hey - don't worry, don't be afraid, ever, because, this is just a ride... And we... kill those people. - Bill Hicks

I run lights and cords and powerstrips within my closets...but lavalamps get really hot...I dont think I'd trust it in there either...at the very least it could be heated up, then the fog kicks on or something which drops the temp causing it to contract quickly and just crack spilling hot liquid everywhere. Kinda like if you went to put a quart of water into the fridge to cool (right out the PC) and the bottom falls off.

i got the same martha as mitchnast and i did get it at walmart lol ... but anyways i have used to keep my ultrasonic in my martha, that is untill it didnt work anymore ,,, then alot of people told me that the humidity will mess shit up after a while ,,,,
What i would suggest to u is to setup the ultrasonic and the light outside the martha at least ,,, iuno about the light because thier isnt to many circuts ,,,, but i would highly suggest to get the ultrasonic out and just have a dryer hose going from the exaust of it to the top of the martha

As far as the Martha thing...the ones you get at WalMart arent "MARTHA STEWERT" closets...they are the exact same thing though...just not the ones she makes.

Cheapest fruiting chamber setup is a large, clear rubbermaid tote, with a hand sprayer from the hardware store used for humidity. Go for tote size depending on how many casings you want to run. A house fan blows away lid fanning because it fans the cropping surface more evenly than lid fanning, resulting in a nicer pinset. If you have the option to fruit at room temperature, this is about as cheap and easy as it gets. Mist/light/fan 2-3 times a day. Drill some holes and stuff Polyfill if you want to "upgrade" your cheap-o fruiting chamber to the next level. This is my cubensis setup, and it churns out more mushrooms than I could use in a lifetime or give away to friends, extremely effective.
