what should i listen to?
    #4217848 - 05/25/05 11:19 AM (11 years, 6 months ago)

on a suggestion from tumbleweed i started.. uhh... very legally obtaining some music. and this got me thinking that i hadn't done this in some time. so, fire suggestions away - what music should i get? (full albums only please, i hate to ... legally obtain ... single songs) i'd prefer suggestions of more recent stuff - i have only stayed half-way atune to the current musical scenes..

Freeze the Saints and No More Shoes are my favorite two tracks.

But the first track has the funniest malkmus line in a while:

i'm here to sing a song,
a song about privilege;
the spikes you put on your feet
when you were crawling and dancing
to the top of the human shitpile
shitpile!

It's way more laced with synth/electronic elements than his previous two solo albums, don't you think?  I love this one..

Pavement is its own divine thing . . . nothing anybody does could ever touch it. Not to say it's better than everything else, it's just untouchably different. Like Talking Heads. :heart:

now sitting a bit drunk, breaking up some nice skunk, and listening to the album for a second time. sounds even better now. these other.. uhh legal methods of obtaining music. .. are going damn slow, and i have yet to fiddle with nicotine to see if i can get it to work. but thanks for the suggestions, and always keep 'em coming!

Youth Group you might like...I recommended them above. THey're a young (duh) Australian group, maybe fresh outta high school, but they're really good songwriters. The album gives me chills and it sounds straightoutta 1995.

having trouble finding it on isohunt and various other torrent sites. that's the problem with most good music - there aren't many people who like it, and thus it is hard to find!
