Sapphire martini, perfect, straight up, with a twist.
Thats the key right there. Bombay sapphire gin. Don't let people put a fucking OLIVE in your martini, thats disgusting. Lemon juice perfectly complements the flavor of the martini (as does Lime juice). This is one drink that I really like. When I get my digicam back I'll post some recipies, with pictures, of some of my FAVORITE drinks to make. Like..
Sex With an Alligator - Midori (a green liquor) poured in first, then razzmatazz (a red liquor) poured in slowly so that it is the bottom layer, then a float of jeagermeifter. Yum.

Damn, I saw the title of this thread, I click it open in order to give my opinion and what do I find? The very same thing that I was thinking.

Damn, sweet vermouth with gin? I've never tried it, but don't know how good it sounds.
I do agree with the lemon. The twist is key.

Beefeater, dry, on the rocks
the garni depends on the mood
either citrus or olives and onions
anchovy stuffed olives are my fav - sound gross, but are very tasty in a tini
