Classical music while tripping?
    #4216757 - 05/24/05 11:19 PM (18 years, 10 months ago)

Sounds like it would be a really chill trip (the kind I like). I've listened to other music of all kinds but not classical. I've noticed that different music and even different songs can put you in different moods.

Anyone have an experience while tripping and listening to classical music?

That could be kind of cool man. It seems like all classical music i've heard has like almost a peak and then falls back away, kind of like Pink Floyd music. What about just playing Fantasia, doesn't it have classical in it?

Fantasia seems really sweet but with music you can pop it in your CD/MP3 player and go outside. I like to be immersed in my music while outside, it's like your in your own world.

it worked for groucho marx (trip was hosted by paul krassner)...

mmmm, that reminds me about the time my apartment mates & i went to see the cleveland orchestra whilst we were doin' some aMT back in the early 70s... (we lived near university circle/coventry, all had been case tech students, got "interesting" chems from nearby lab, etc.)

i think one of the pieces was stravinsky's "rites of spring" (which is a pretty wild bit of music anyways, hehheh...)

Yes it sounds interesting and some classical music is for sure timeless in its genius. I would love to see in this thread some recomendations of specific pieces of classical music that proven (or seems like) great for tripping.

From my experience: Philip Glass - Hours was *amazing* on my last mushroom trip. And boring on MDMA

I listened to Bethoveen during my first DPT trip and it blew my mind.

During my last trip, Saint-saens' Sonata No. 1 was amazing to hear. I also got a free math lesson in the process, and a very fine one at that.

I've never been that into classical music. During my last trip I threw some in my playlist along with some jazz, and they were some of the most amazing/beautiful pieces I've ever heard. Unfortunately, right now, I don't exactly remember the names of the compositions.
