 Tripping an Ounce

Myself and several friends have scoured the internet for any documentation of someone tripping on one ounce (27 or 28 grams) of mushrooms, but have yet to find anything exceeding 7 grams (one quarter of an ounce). Recently a friend consumed a half ounce (about 14 grams) of mushrooms; I am not sure of the exact species, but my friends and myself call them "golden teachers." He had full on hallucinations. He said that it was an amazing experience, and it sparked our interest in possibly tripping on a full ounce of shrooms. He downed the half in the form of shroom tea, which came out to about 3 or 4 glasses of liquid (not coffee mugs, but full glasses). He said that it was difficult to get it down, but was able.
We aren't really too concerned with "OD'ing" as that doesn't really seem to be possible. I was curious as to whether this was a really bad or good idea and/or if anyone has tried it or can offer any advice on the subject.

I just found this information on the "Golden Teachers":
The Golden Teacher is another Psilocybe cubensis strain with incredible characterisics. The fruit bodies reach an average height of 5 inches and have wonderful golden caps. The name comes from their lovely golden caps and the supposed ability to teach during the trip.
Golden teacher is a very strong mushroom, and if the stems are cut or bruised they turn dark blue/black very quickly. These shrooms give a really nice experience with lots of visual enhancements. It has been compared to a LSD experience with wildly vivid colours and overall euphoria.
Very strong.

Mushrooms and LSD are VERY different IME. There are ounce trip reports here, but I'm exactly sure where to find them anymore. It's not for novices though, and not for most experienced people as well.

Use the search function better.
Also, you don't need that much to trip. If you really wanna blow yourself away go for it, most people change their mind as soon as they get into it. You do mean dry weight, right? Cause an ounce wet is a normal dose.
All I can say is have fun, and write a report, seeing as how "you can't" find any reports over seven grams.

I find that 6gs is usually a good good trip for me. No way at this point in my life would i wanna try an ounce man. If yall do it i have to say you have bigger balls than I.  Have Fun Man

i say thats fucking crazy. the hardest, best, and longest trip i had was from eating 3.5g of shrooms and about 3mg of lsa thats right 'a'. best time ever!

I would be very carefull doing it too. Those shrooms could have just came from a weak flush or maybe been around heat which cause psilo loss. Every flush is diff. When you eat that oz they could be a lot stronger than the ones you ate before.

Good lord... it's not unheard of, but the one report i've read that was over 20 grams was something of an epic tale, something i've restricted just to reading about, and almost certainly never actually trying for myself. I don't think i could bare through it... the intenisty i might be able to handle, but the fact that it'd last 6-8 hours i don't think i could. DMT or LSD in high doses might be better... but jesus, that's A LOT of shrooms.

The dry weight of the shrooms my friend ate was 14 grams. Unlike a lot of the trip reports here that are over about 7 grams, he didn't freak out, but had a rather peaceful trip. He told me that he was still in control of his mind for the most part. He thought at one point that black hands were extending from his closet to grab him, but realized told himself "this isn't happening" and they disappeared.
And in reference to many of other people's questions, I live in Nebraska and we have yet to acquire acid, DMT, or LSD in any form. So I only wish we could do that.

I wouldn't dose that much, really there is no need to dose a full ounce.

well I presume were talkin dried shrooms coz an oz of fresh cubensis is just nothing - the idea of eating an oz dried sounds horrid (& my guts have left the building at the thought) - I've tried prety hi doses of shrroms & basically LSD sounds a better choice if u wanna go for it - lacks the drunken village idiot effect that shrooms hav a touch of & u may need your wits about u if u want a proper trip like that - shroom r more random & messy which a lot of people like but isn't so good at extreme doses IMO

I went on a 22g trip with my flatmate and an acquaintance.
It was one of the worst experiences of my life.
This "acquaintance" started acting like a twat and lost his mind.
My flatmate and I could not handle it, we reverted to a kind of childlike state, we couldn't deal with any conflict. Unfortunately there was a samurai sword in the room and a real physical danger.
Luckily a friend was around to protect us. I went to make our bodyguard  some tea, but after ten minutes of trying to get the kettle to work, I felt useless and terribly guilty for inviting a madman around and went to my room as the trip was peaking.
I was alone in my freezing cold dark room for a couple of hours, NOBODY, absolutely NOBODY should have to experience what I did in that time.
I don't know how my mind is STOL intact.
Oh well I was pretty stupid to put myself in that kind of situation.
I think I'll write a trip report soon.

if your friend really did eat a half oz of dry shrooms, those are some SUPER FUCKING WEAK ass shrooms if he was still able to control himself and his mind. Anything over 7g's would most likely produce a lvl 5 trip which means he wouldnt even realize that he exists in this world. He would have no knowledge of reality or himself for that matter. so either he is BS or those are some weak ass shrooms.

it was an amazing experience and i dont cre to type that long,
i say go for it, but proceed with cuation,
dont get hurt, or make your brain bleed all over the fucking place.
