I found this mushroom in Washington Square Park, New York, NY. I am sure it is not psilocybe, and I'm just interested in what it might be. It was growing in a large patch of the same, and surrounded by flowering plants. Though you can't see the gills, they are a dark brown and not attatched to the stem. The stem seems hollow, though I'm not sure, and it fell apart when I picked it. Though it hasn't dropped it's spores yet, when handlign it I got dark brown or black all over my hands, so I imagine the print will be the same color. The cap is about 1.3 inches wide, and other surrounding mushrooms appeared slightly larger or smaller. The mushroom did not stain.

Looks like some sort of Coprinus (maybe "comatus", the shaggy ink cap)

I would definitely go with coprinus also. The specimen looks kind of aged and the angle makes it difficult for me to start guessing a species.
