Casing Question

Whats up everyone,
I was just wondering when exactly do put your casing in the fruiting chamber? It's been incubating for about 8 days and the myc. is just starting to poke through the surface. It's growing in pretty evenly, so I don't think it needs to be patched.

you should put it in to fruit when you can just see the myc under the surface of the casing. do not let it go to far.

When Myc has completely covered youre "cake" or "casing" whever is in the jar youre incubating.

no. that is wrong. you let the myc cover your substrate and then case and reincubate until you can just see the myc under the surface of your casing. go read the tek if you don't believe.

easy boss, I'm sure you know more then I do...I thought he was incubating a jar to grow mycelium, then mix and case. I've alway's heard you wait until the "cake" is completely covered, then case and fruit asap. But even then...I could be wrong, for I've never even had a flush...yet...Just trying to pass on what i've learned so far =)

I welcome any correction's when I'm mistaken

whats happening Student,
Just to clarify, The cakes already colonized and it has been cased in a 50/50 coir, verm  mix. I just wasnt sure when to put the whole casing in
the chamber. I appreciate the reply anyway. And thanx Backupwards for the advice. Peace!

sorry student wasn't being harsh, just correcting. who knows more than who is irrelevant. cause i really don't know h poo. read what is posted, then respond.
yes you are right about casing cakes, when they are done colonizing case up and let them do the same. fruit when you see the myc just under the surface of the casing, it will give you a more even pinset, provided that the myc is evenly distributed through the casing. if not patch any vigorous spots and then fruit.
