pinning problems
    #4210602 - 05/23/05 05:11 PM (12 years, 5 days ago)

my colonized cakes have been sitting in their perlite terrarium for 4 days now. 2 of them were dunked after birthing to compare growth although at this point they look the same as the other 6. All of them look relatively....flat. Colonized, but flat. At some points on the cakes little 'sprouts' of mycelium have jumped up and are all fuzzy but nothing seems to be coming of them

exposing them to 10 hours a day of sunlight. Until yesterday the temp was being kept too high (80) but now its been brought down to 73-76. The cakes have looked dry so ive been lightly misting them from 2 feet away

Am i being paranoid? Should i just wait and see? Nothing seems to be happening but perhaps its my impatience. I dont want to cold shock them....not yet at least

yeah 4 days is way too early to be worrying yet usualy pins will take at least 7days to form 73-76 is good just make sure you keep up with air exchanges
