For $185 you can get the 15 pound DB kit and a couple spore syringes. As long as you can read directions and are somewhat sterile, you can produce massive amounts of fruit compared to a few cakes in a Pod.
How much was the original Mushroom Cultivator? I thought that was a great piece of equipment, becuase you could do every thing in one little Myco Center (Innoc, incubate, fruit, print, etc).

I don't have pics, and you don't have to take my word for it.
thats your choice to make.
But everyone seems to be taking the creators word for it. I still havn't seen any pictures on his website.. If you had such an amazing creation that does such amazing things and was charging up the wazoo for it, wouldn't you want people to see that the thing was worth it?
That just blows my mind..

If you really can do better flushes than the hydra-pod with your walmart kits then please post the evidence. Untill you can post some pictures of cakes that top the ones that themd9 posted of his hydra-pod - then we should'nt have to post any more hydra-pod pictures untill then. I do'nt have a camera - so I can't post any of mine. but someone else could I bet.
Pictures has nothing to do with the hydra-pod being able to work as claimed. What youre saying is that mcmans hydra-pod doesn't work at all and that's why he doesn't show pictures of it on his website. Well then - what are you going to say when the shroomery is filled with pictures of good flushes in hydra-pods - better ones than your walmart kits? Are you still going to use that for your excuse I wonder?
If you ever emailed mcman and talkd to him personaly then you would know that he is extemely paronoid and safe and thats why there are no pictures on his web site to criminilize him self. I doubt that mcman will ever show pictures on his website - ever. He was real clear about it when I first emailed him about buying one. If he shows the hydra-pod being used to manufacteur ilegall substance then he could end up busted.

"Is it worth $185.00?"
Really it all depends on the person. Does it produce decent flushes with minimal effort? Yes.
Can you do better with alittle more effort? Again the answer is Yes.
Whats more important to you? Time or Money?
If time is more valuable to you than money then it would probably be worth it to you for $185.00. If your into learning more about shrooms and cultivation then you would probably be better off learning how to provide the proper grow environment on your own. My personal opinion is that one would be better off in the long run learning to culitivate mushrooms without $185.00 hyrda-pods cause the experience you gain will provide you with an almost infinite amount of fruits compared to what you can grow with 1 hydra-pod. Of course if you wanna spend $18,550 for 100 hydra-pods well thats another story...lol
Tell me something good then I might agree with you..

hehe.. thats just funny.
I didn't say his pod didn't work at all, I just said if it's soo great, why didn't he put up pics, or even link to a completely seperate site with the pod pics.
As bad as the US is for anti-drug tactics, i don't think you can go to jail for selling buckets. But then again, people go to jail for longer terms for smoking a J than manslaughter over there so i could be wrong.
Regardless, considering the $185 is required for the pod, i think the pod needs to do more proving than the people who don't think it's proved enough.
The age of naive consumers died with the internet going mainstream, and now we witness what happens to people who underestimate the power of the consumer.
If anyone tried to sell me a magic bucket for $185, they damn well better have pictures of exactly how magical it gets.
But then again, im one of those strange people who investigate something before dropping a load of cash on it.
And by the way, ralphster has pictures in his spore side of the site. as he and mcman have their pages under the same domain, meaning they are both responsible despite the disclaimer claiming they are seperate entities.
If mcman was truly not posting pics because he is paranoid, why isn't he paranoid about ralph's pics, because in reality, they can send him to jail just as much as any other pics.
peace,

setups like the solfood machine and the hydra-pod are not made to be grown by the hundreds - they are designed for the small time personal user - like me. I would never by 100 of these things and I do'nt have the months or years to blow while waiting to learn to gro mushrooms like you may have had in your situation - so for me the hydra-pod is a great by. I had a terribble time trying to grow homestead and pf and when I found the shroomery here I learned to use rubbermaids and perlite and I got flushings - but they sucked compared to these. Maybe I did'nt fan enough or mist enough or to much - but my shrooms looked scary and were'nt to be proud of. I had hairy stems all the time and I just quit eating them cause they scared me to even eat cause they never looked right. I did that for way over a year and now I buy a hydra-pod and the flushings are way better - by far. So - I speak from experience in both worlds and I am telling you my side of it. I do'nt care to waste another 2 years learning what you know about mushroom cultvation - that does'nt interest me. I just want to grow shrooms for my self and *not* fail most the time. That's why I bought the thing and exactly what its doing for me - so I'm happy and I think it's worth the money I gave for it. I got almost 2 oz from 2 flushings and I am getting more from them so if you add it up - I am getting my monies worth.

If it suits your needs, more power to ya.
I was just saying hat I cannot justify getting one of those because of my past experiences. That is all.
