Hypothetical grow...quesion

Say you had some jars that were knocked up months ago (say almost a year), and you forgot about them.

Now, looking at them, some look okay, some look contamed.

If you live in Arizona, how would you get these to grow outside, now that it's routinely 100+ every day? Could you dig a small patch of dirt up and throw verm and peat moss and a good planting soil there on top of the crumbled old cakes?

How would these grow in the hot dry days? Could you just water the patch of dirt daily to keep it moist?

What are the chances of something coming of this?

Ooo I dunno, Arizona gets really hot, some of those 100-110 days, I'm not sure how that would affect mycelium, but if it didn't outright kill I'm sure temps that high would hurt. You'd have to water it regularly since its so damn dry there. Also you'd have to keep it in a shady spot; Stamet's talks about this in GMGM, the direct heat would hurt the fruiting bodies.

The sun was pulling cheap shots doing commercial body tricks, Behind the back, Under the leg, I think he even did a headspin, On a crossfader that sounded whack, But looked excellent, All of the sudden it gets dim, The crater face steps in, Puts mexican drumbreaks on the Technics, He's like "Let's begin", He conducted an orchestra so dope the sun started sweatin' him, I guess he'd expected to win on pure artistic merit, Composing complex plays with nothin but soundbytes, Burned out the lights, Made MCs too self conscious quit the master mics, For a thousand nights, It continued without a single slip up, Except once the record skipped, But it kinda sounded cool.

106 fahrenheit kills psilocybian mycelium.. I'm sure it's a little cooler underground, but shade would be mandatory. Even then it might be iffy if it got over 110

Well, if you have nothing else to do with them (ie cult inside, other means), then the only thing you CAN do is throw them in the trash or put in compost to see if they grow. The best option seems (to me) is to put in the compost and see what happens, you never know. It def. beats the option of throwing away.

Good luck.
