An annoying urge to want to keep the surrounding area clean. Inside.
    #4204475 - 05/21/05 08:41 PM (12 years, 2 months ago)

Something I think about when Im tripping, mostly when it starts to
calm-down, like today I was in the bath and there was pieces of my
socks that had gotten stuck between my toes that was floating around
and I realy found them annoying.

This Obsession about wanting to keep things clean, I reckon can be
escaped by tripping outside. But one should be able to be okay with
it inside, Right? Any advice on this? Maybe someone has feelt the same?

Is it some sort of neurotisism that interviens?

I've heard plenty of people say the same thing, but I actually do not get that feeling when tripping in my room (which isnt outrageously messy, just not entirely clean). I dont know why it happens to people :\

No, only in the come-down to I start to want to clean and get annoyed.

I think it has to do with paranoia and other things about wanting the trip to be over, so I go all OCD about cleaning everything around me.

Maybe a little OCD?

People have found actually that sub-psychedelic doses of mushrooms are effective at treating OCD.

I am confused. You find the urge to be clean annoying? I find people who kept their stuff in order to be admirable. Also, I find cleaning to be one of the best ways to pass the time between "barely feeling it anymore and can't sleep" and "finally it's over, now I sleeeeep". That way, my lazy ass doesn't have to do anything the next day... except make a mess all over again.

On a side note:
Sometimes at the height of a trip I feel the urge to rearrange things into some pattern. Kinda like that scene in Pink Floyd's The Wall. The part where "is there anybody out there" is playing... only without smashing everything beforehand.
