Ja.
Do you think that wbs will hold well enough to fruit the cake itself, as one would with the verm/brf? This is my friend's first growth attempt in over two years, and he was never that experienced in the first place. He's definitely willing to use an extra syringe to experiment with wbs if he doesn't have to case with it yet.
 Peace.

you should use a casing layer with WBS.
or use WBS to spawn a bulk substrate.
WBS doesn't do well as a cake.

I have never used WBS, but i dont have a pressure cooker. So WBS would be in fact more expensive for someone without a pressure cooker. Seeing as how vermiculite and brown rice are not that high priced idk why people hate it so much.
But anyway, anyone who was discouraged in any way about PF tek with brf/verm, You shouldn't be. Ive had damn good success I think. Tripped quite a few times now, and tripped a few friends ass well.
Although, I am prolly going to buy a pressure cooker sometime this summer and start messing around with WBS, or Rye grains. Maybe some poo spawnage. I had pretty bad luck with casings, had green mold hit. No other contaminates in jars, and i've gotten fruits leaving invitro, which actually produces hella lots of shrooms, and fruiting cakes in a small terrarium. Goodluck noobs.

I've had much worse luck w/steaming BRF jars, 50% contam, as I have w/WBS 0% contams. Also, casing was super easy. Just used lots of Oust
