Pluteus salicinus is an active that was discovered recently in southern illinois, i had no idea it grew in northern illinois. I hear it is very rare.


i hope to find one sometime, so i could mess around with the spores, try to see if i can fruit them.

Also remember that the list info said ththat all of the species listed are not yet confirmed.

I will mention that P. semilanceata, listed inthis list, does not grow in Chicago , or in Illinois.
