what do i do to my casing, straight verm with two pf style cakes, after the first flush?

also,
i had 8 cakes i dunked for 20 hours after first flush but i used tap water and didn't put them in the fridge. did i f@!# up??

Take a knife to the casing layer and make an XXXXX pattern across the surface of the casimg and right down to the mycelia.Then fill in any gaps along the sides with moist verm. Next, resume your misting and fanning routine. You should see a second flush within a week.
Your cakes should be fine.
