 In search of an old Arcade favorite.

Help me please, I'm going to describe it as good as I can remember.
A Chopper flying forward, only from the top down view.
It had villages and small woods, one of the woods made flamingo's come out if you would shoot at it. And there was one village, if you did nothing the villagers did nothing. But if you did something they would shoot at you.
I used to play it around 16 or more years ago in Spain when I was on vacation.
I still think it is the best in it's genre.
If anyone remembers or thinks he/she knows what I mean, please respond.

There's chopper squad and chopper alley. I think Chopper Squad is older... not sure if that helps at all.

No, just an arcade hall machine.
It could be that the same game was on NES, but as far is I know.. No.

Sounds alot like "Jungle Strike", which I played on my SNES (and loved).

Looks a bit like it but that screen display is from the top/side.
The game I'm looking for moves from down to up all the time. Sometimes slow, sometimes fast.

wow this is gonna drive me nuts. I've been looking on google for 10 minutes already. What sucks is that I'm pretty sure I know the game you are talking about, but I can't think of any names. It's not 1942 is it?

No, thats my second favorite arcard game. 
The name has gone missing from my mind. Maybe I should have a shrooming session about it.
