Bitch ass quinoa
    #4195830 - 05/19/05 03:39 PM (11 years, 9 months ago)

So I got kinda drunk last night and had some WBS soaking.  I had some quinoa from the local hippy coop sitting around as i was planning on experimenting with it. So anyways my drunk ass dumped a bunch of the quinoa into the WBS, im simmering it now and i see that all the quinoa has sprouted.  Should i just simmer and pressure cook like normal or is the WBS fucked (like 20 lbs :frown:)

IT HASN'T SPROUTED! Quinoa is wierd like that. It has this funky tail kind thing that curls outward from the outer casing when the outer casing gets wet. I either read about it here on the boards, or, more probably, on the net somewhere (like nutritionaldata.org) when I was reading up on different grains to try to grow fungus on.

It has not sprouted. The outer shell of quinoa has a little tail that sticks out when it gets wet. No big. PC and happy growing.

I mix whole, soaked quinoa in my BRF cakes. It has the highest tryptophan content of all the grains. Can't hurt
