I have read that in so many New Age books that I am nauseous. WTF does it mean?

That one is simple Swami, it's like a certain thought that can bring on other happy thoughts, that's all. Sorta like a mind set you can put on to feel better.
That's what i get from it anyway.
Peace and good opinions, Droz

well try to look at it from their point of view. They consider soult to be eternal, and with that in mind it is logical that nobody can ever really hurt you in an unrepairable way

Looks like you are being real pessimistic Swami, try to be optomistic about things, then let go of yourself and enjoy the world.

Huh? Please explain. I only observe. 300,000 killed by the tsunami and everything is roses. Um - OK. Do I need to post the Webster definition of "safe"?

It is all roses if you accept death as something natural It is all black if you look at death as tragedy

who started it? A bunch of hippies that felt empty and bored after being "deprogramed" my Leary, so they made up all kinds of stuff
I could be wrong though

Why do so many here try to rewrite the English language?
Webster: safe
1. Secure from danger, harm, or evil. 2. Free from danger or injury; unhurt: safe and sound.
Drowning and death easily fall under the category of harm or injury.

By "all roses" I meant good, natural, beautifull, and I thought you ment that too
tsunami is not safe, yes, but it was (probably) natural and unavoidable.

As to your origional post:
I think what those "new age" folks mean, is your body may die, but your essential energy cannot be destroyed. __________________________________________________________________ As to the above quote:
I know someone who has that belief system and has weathered some harsh tragedy without feeling the universe a hostile place. I know him very well. He's my best male friend. Not many like him though.
So weather you agree with it or not, I think this is the answer to your question. Okeydokey Swami.

Being able to take something bad that has happened, and look at the brighter sides of the situation is a key part in getting through life happy.
Instead of thinking about hundreds of thousands of people being killed by a massive tsunami, think about that land being fertilized and having such nutrient based top soil now after the water drowned it that whoever owns the land will be able to make a fortune by growing some plant or crop on it. Don't worry, be happy

How can you be sure they weren't needed somewhere else? I read Tim Leary believed something to the tune that the universe is always secretly trying to help us. Just because something is a tragedy to you doesn't mean it really is one.
