cold shock for 8 hours, then remove from jar, and put into setup. pins will take about a week

I can think of at least two things wrong with that title

I usually stick the jars into the light for a few hours a day when they are about 85% colonized.This seems to help induce pins.I usually wait 1 week after it's 100% colonized to put it in the set-up. Good luck.

As I've found out, cold shocking is definitely not necessary to initiate pinning. Simply put the jar into the light.
