Too much technology, time on computer. Am digitizing, d.i.g.i.t.i.z.i.n.g., going Boolean, turning Cyborg, must reboot; must reboot!

Walk to the door, go to the nearest casino (how far can that be?)

Go inside, and drop some coinage.

That will make you feel better when you spend the next 8 hours on S&P, the flickering monitor burning into your retinas, body and mind aching with the struggle to maintain truth, logic, and order in a chaotic world.

It's not bad YoungWood. If it's a preference. In fact it's really good. :mushroom2:

Spending eight hours on a forum is insane. I check in occasionally and log off. I spend most of my time engaged in more meaningful activity. I come here for a few hours (max of about 3 or 4) a week. It is good recreation...but so are movies, video games, hunting, or fishing. Too much recreation impacts the time one spends being a productive human. By productive I mean being productive for one's self...not serving the system...but serving one's self. It could be earning money, learning something, or fixing up around the house.

A warrior is tuned to survive, and he survives in the best of all possible fashions." ― Carlos Castaneda

I spend a lot of time here because my TV is inside my computer. I rarely watch the actual TV machine, I use my TV card so I sit on my computer whenever I watch TV at night, and I always open shroomery and refresh it now and then, that is why I post so much.
I also open shroomery whenever I am surfing internet and searching for stuff, and I also open it when I'm working in photoshop, scanning film etc.

You're so right Hue. I do spend hours here. But there is a novelty factor for me. I stayed away from computers up until a few months ago. Now it's like a new world to explore. I want to play catch up. And to tell the truth I have a lot more interesting conversation here then with most of the people I work with and such. I know I will burn out at some time. I always immerse myself in new things.

I'm glad you pointed out that I'm insane though.

Good Gawd man don't tell Swami this is recreation.  He thinks this is being productive!

What if ones recreation is productive? Maybe someone recreates by making chairs or painting art

"or painting art?"

What if Art doesn't want to be painted? What then?
