It seems the PF Tek is recommended to first timers because it is easy to do without a pressure cooker. are there better teks out there for first timers that have pressure cookers? Ive got some rye berries in my pantry but i dont know if i want to jump into casing yet.. or should i?
Ive got some BRF jars that are going REAL slow despite giving them 80-85F temps in my TiT (i think i screwed up with water ratios). So, i want to get started on a few more jars and do them correctly this time... but i think there might be some better teks out there to invest my time in since i have a pressure cooker.
edit: i should note that i also have a TiT, still air glovebox, and PMP if it matters in the type of tek that would suit me

6t's wbs tek docs wbs tek both of these work fine. noob or not, as long as you can follow directions and have access to the materials, you're solid. less mess, and advantages for later when you delve into spawning to bulk subs.

Soak some WBS, load some jars, use tyvek as a lid filter & inoculate a few. That should/would give you some spawn to use in bulk, if you want.
Or, soak / simmer some rye, load jars (as above) & once colonized, use the rye as a substrate - in a small tray.

Agars Meathod For Soaking Grains - The Final Answer <<<====Is what I used and it worked GREAT!!!
After only 10 days or so!!
I also reccomend using a Liquid Culture such as the Karo Meathod or the Honey Meathod (Use Agar's meathod) to speed up colonization times.
Grains + Liquid Culture + Incubator + Sterility +Poo + Casing = The Shizzy

a buddy said that my 5+deg temp swings that happen like 3x per day are what might be stalling everything (79-85)
