 Giant bulk martha idea

I was thinking about making a 5x10 foot room outa black plasic, then hookup like 3 or 4 coolmists and one ultrasonic outside of the room with dryerhoses going into it. I was also thinking about making a airlock type entrance ,, cause the air thats getting pushed into the room has to go somwhere. I have tyvek suits and gasmasks already ,,, so u could just spray urself down with lysol good b4 u go in and every thing should work out ,,,
does anything sould like it wouldnt work ???
any feedback would be good ,,,
ps, dont mind my grammer i suck at it lol

ambitious, kudos. My biggest worry would be contams, try rigging some kind of air filtration. Just remember that everything has to be sterile, which without a proper lab conditions is difficult to dupilcate on such a scale.

like air filtration for the intake of the humidifiers u mean right ,,, i was already thinking about making a some kinda tyvek room with dryer hoses going from the inside of the room to the intake of the humidifier ,,,, just the room or box would have to be kinda big cause air doesnt travel trough tyvek that good
iuno its just a brain storm right now

yes, but also filtration within the room. Like I said it's difficult to properly setup and maintain labratory sterility on that scale. But more power to you if you decide to go for it.

Might go through a lot of lysol if you spray yourself down everytime you go in (well I guess, if you automate most if it maybe you wouldn't have to go in all that often). Maybe it would be enough to just lysol your shoes and make sure you only enter with freshly laundered clothes or a lab coat on.

well i dont think i would go in thier with shoes ,,, i was thinking about sealing bags around the feet part of my tyvek suits and i wouldnt need a labcoat cause i have tyvek jump suits and they cover everything but your face and feet ,,, and i already have a gasmask... and i could just hang the suits in the airlock thing

All the precautions arent needed. But they can be fun, just so you know though, dont worry about all that so much. Check out my closet link in my signature...I have a couple of tarped closets, just like what you want but a little smaller, I'm sure you'll get something usfull from it if your serious about this.
Understand though...my current setup takes 40+ hours a week of my time to keep a continous cycle in both of the closets and both closets put together are smaller then the room your talking. Gives you a little more room, but expect to spend over 40 hours a week on this, every week. I've found it to get to be to much, quickly...I dont even fill up both closets any of the time any more. More air for the shrooms to breathe though, means less air exchanges are needed.

I don't think you will need that much equiptment to run a 5x10 foot room.
try one cool mist and one ultrasonic first...then add units if needed.

I used to have to wear a Tyvek suit for asbestos removal on ships when I was a Boiler Tech.
They really suck!~

Once upon a time, years ago my foaf had an 8X8X20 ft cargo container.
8 ft was a clean room, the other divided 12 ft was a grow room.

its like wearing a big filter isn't it? Filters still carry contams on them.

the material breathes...but doesn't let contaminates through it.
they were just a pain in the ass to wear.

 yeah usualy you wear one for same reason you put it over a jar to keep the nasties off yourself more like wearing a trash bag than a coffe filter though

thats the point of the airlock room ,,, if thier are any contams on the suits once u lysol bomb yourself they should be all dead

ambitious for sure. i would take precautions with your shoes as you thought. they are the dirtiest part of our wardrobe. in tests done in micro class, cultures from our shoes were 5 times dirtier than say the toilet bowl. all kinds of fungus and bacteria are present.

I have a little grow cube with a cool mist and an evaporative humidifier, contamination is not a big issue, i hardly even wash my hands before going in to check it out. Scatman also hit the 40 hours a week part right on the head too!! I spend at least that between time on the shroomery, cleaning, pressure cooking, casing, pasteurizing and all that fun stuff.

One other quick question while i got this pic up, is the extra light from my hps (the yellow light) enough or should i continue using that fluorescent light as well (i still gotta figure out how to mount it on top)
