Hunter S. Thompson in a thriftstore.
    #4184452 - 05/17/05 12:06 AM (11 years, 10 months ago)

I found a copy of fear and loathing in Las Vegas at a thriftstore today for a quarter. That is all.

One of the best parts of the book is the stuff that is straight off the recorder.

There is just some stuff in that book where the only medium that is capable of doing it justice is the minds eye.

The only book aside from Fight Club I was able to read in a single sitting... amazing book.

The Rum Diary was also really good too.

The book IS awesome. I learned so much more about what actually went on during that time. New connections were made, and insanity was at its height. Hunter S (RIP) is key

Its pretty tight, some good laughs and it is surprisingly pretty sad at points. Campbell is spot on and Ossie Davis compliments him well.
