For my fellow INTPs

Yeah, we generally have a tough time being one of the least-common types around...so I provide this link for your benefit:

http://forums.intpcentral.com/

It's mostly INTPs, over there

Hopefully it can bring a little sanity to an otherwise insane world.

Oh, the irony of INTPs making a forum all about intellectualizing about their type...

*sigh* That is exactly the thing I'm trying to get out of the habit of! INTPs need more real-life socializing, not more internet intellectualizing.

<--- INTP here

Simply put: they are personality types. If you do a free online Meyers-Briggs test you can find out yours and learn a LOT about yourself and others such as:

TRENDAL is an INTP

WICCAN_SEEKER is an INFJ

so you're not *that* rare, Trendy!

You must be the "hard-ass" cousin of the INTPs

Well I used to not "suffer fools gladly", but I've gotten much better at it. (Mainly to avoid being killed.) But after reading the descriptions of both it's hard to see any major difference for me. Perhaps I am an INTJ/p? Maybe we should start a colony or something?

Yeah it's quite easy to be halfway J/P on these things. I am only 56% P, so I am pretty much borderline.

How did you determine it to that level of specificity?

The test I took gave percentages for each trait. I'll see if I can find the link for you.

is it just me or are there quite a few INTPs here?

after reading a bit on the INTP profile, i can imagine why the internet is a pretty comfortable place to be for the INTP.

<--- also an INTP.

I finally managed to get a mirror up of what was always my favorite page on the MBTI types. You can find it at my website, here:
