Are these Liberty Caps?
    #4182092 - 05/16/05 12:12 PM (18 years, 10 months ago)

I just noticed some mushrooms lookin familiar to Liberty Caps (Psilocybe semilanceata) growing in my backyard. I am no expert at identification at all, in fact, I am pretty much clueless. For awhile I was interested in pickin hallucinogenic shrooms in my area and I found Liberty Caps were around, so I did SOME identification on them before giving up.

Anyways, heres some pics (sry, crappy cell phone pictures:()

Other Info:
Location: Seattle, WA (USA)
Habitat: Grassland
It rained like madness about 30 hours ago, then kind of went away and it was slightly sunny.
I know that there are months when the right shrooms grow at, but I would assume those are just their best seasons?
The caps don't look as pointy as some pictures I have seen show them, they are more round and the stem doesn't go to far up..

Anyways, if there is any other information needed, I would be glad to answer/give the information as best as I can.

Would love to get a few replies. I would be pretty happy if I knew I had some shrooms growing in my backyard:) Thanks.

It's hard to tell from the photographs.
Get a spore print!
