 Big Yields

I am looking to grow a big yield of shrooms, are there any ways more efficent then PF Tek for big yields?
I am looking at buying 18 syringes from SporeSource.com for $90 shipped and then get whatever else I need. Jars seem like they would be such a hassle @ this volume and very costly.

many syringes will not yield you more mushrooms.
the pf tek is o.k. if you don't have a pressure cooker.
but it is what you do with the jars that really matters.
for big yields, try and spawn it to some horse poo.

Do you own a pressure cooker? If so, try out wbs. See Agar's wbs tek. It's great and works fine. Then you can consider G2G transfers to extend your colonized spawn, from the multispore inoculation of a few jars. That's if you have a gloove box. It's the best and easiest way to start off IMO.

I don't have any of that stuff, but could get it.
I am looking at spending approx. $300 on supplies. What is the best way to utilize this budget? Could I average a pound of mushrooms a month w/ this budget?

Wrong.
Many readings = much knowledge = many shrooms
And it only takes 1cc of spores to grow thousands of pounds.
But no ones gonna do it for you. Start with bulk and fug the PF Tek. Read on bulk, spawning, horse poo, liquid cultures, karo tek. Read read read and read somemore.

get like 48 some odd quart jars, like 50 lbs of rye, 100-200 lbs of horse poo, a pressure cooker, and ure good to go!

Dont spend too much on a pressure cooker. Start with a good cheap one, like this http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.gsp?product_id=2625289 .
Buy some Tenn stud substrate, get the best deal from one of the spore vendors at the time, some Rye or WBS, im pretty sure rye is easier. And some quart jars.

why do you need a pound a month? You obviously know nothing about growing shrooms, so i would reccommend spending 2-3 hours on this site, for 2 weeks before you buy anything.
Trust me, i read this site for hours every day for about a month before i bought anything, and i bet i could make a pound a month if i wanted to, but then a pound a month is more than i think anyone should ever have.

listen to what these guys are saying. they are giving great advice. chances are if you go ahead with your plans to try and grow large amounts you will be where you are right now except with a lot less cash.
read read read, think, read read read, think, understand yet? i know i have spent the last few months reading everything i can on this sight, even if it has nothing to do with the teks i am using. everything can be helpful to a blissful harvest. got it?

BTW, don't use all of your syringes at once, take your time to get a hold for some techniques, it really is a necesary step. I wouldn't want you to spend that big money on just one failed attempt

I can see it now, you spend a grip of cash on supplies knock up a bunch of jars and fail them all. That is enough to make any man cry. Not to mention lose interest in the hobby. Keep this in mind as well, it is a HOBBY, a semi dangerous one at that. Start small and be PATIENT!! if you have no patience you have no mushies!! Read everything you can get your eyes on, the last thing you wanna do is give somone a contamed mushy because you couldn't identify the contam therefore never knew it was a contam and kill somone or yourself.
Deepman is exactly right you need technique and 1000 jars on the first time is no technique....but 1000 jars 1000 separate times might get you technique ..if your patient and observative.
