Those are some wicked macros! I especially love the snail on the blue flower. Looks great as a background.

Thanks to all the shoomlings for the feedback!
I fixed the one broken image so now there is a grasshopper.
Anisotropic, yes I always edit my pics (using PS). I mess with
values, rubber stamp imperfections/distractions out, crank up the
colors... sometimes only a little, sometimes a lot.

Great shots
Were did you find your subjects (backyard, park, etc.)

This was enough to sustain him during the six steps of asceticism leading to his Enlightenment.

Mostly house yards for this batch with one park and one beach.
If you slow down your movements and look deep almost any yard
will reveal good macro potential.

second to last and third from last are outstanding.

I am REALLY interested in finding a good dSLR camera with macro capabilities...

Do you use a tripod for these shots? Because god knows my hands aren't steady enough for that shit.

My cam is not a DSLR and I'm not
using any special lens or attachments.
>> CP 990
I usually only use a tripod for night shots.
All of the shots above or below were hand held.
When the sun is out there's plenty of light.
Try benching the camera on things, your knee, a tree,
anything that will stop your hands from moving.

That one with the spider is really amazing. Keep those pics coming if you have anymore.

Just thought I would let you know, your pics inspired me to buy a Coolpix 4500, primarily for the built in macro ability. Should be here in about a week.
