FARMERS ATTEMPT TO STOP GROWTH?
    #4181331 - 05/16/05 05:03 AM (18 years, 10 months ago)

I was looking around a pasture recently and had noticed that the farmer had been feeding his cows orange peels. Will this stop shroom growth, Or is this just a normal cow diet? I was at another field a few weeks ago and found alot of in active shrooms, if inactive ones grow there does that mean that any shroom could grow? I hope farmers in the area aren't tring to stop growth all together.

thanks for the info

Please enlighten me on how you even came up with that idea. And no If you found inactive mushrooms there a few weeks ago, it dosn't mean active ones will grow. They could be growing just go check.

Farmers do not feed anything to their cattle which would inhibit the gerowth of fungi in manure heaps.

Urban legend.

I've noticed the hotter the temperature, the more active the mushroom.
Possibly speculation, but that's what I've noticed while attempting to find them earlier in the season up to now.

Thank you again GGreatOne, I wasn't sure how to properly word the question, but you answered it. as far as the farmers putting certain things down to stop the growth of mushrooms.......just me thinking that people know what they are talking about, not just talking.
