Incubation temp for Cambos?
    #4177407 - 05/15/05 10:15 AM (12 years, 7 months ago)

Hi, I was wondering what temp do you use for incubating your cambos. I read that you don't need to have it at the normal 28 mark because Cambo creat heat which I guess is why they colonize faster. But what do you think.

I have mine at 29c? and they grow fast fast fast! But 27? would probably be better, I'm just too lazy to change all my fridge's water right now...

You want about 29-30c? inside the substrate, so the temp outside the jar should be a few degrees lower, I.E. 27?

My temps stay in the 82-86 F range, and I have a contammed PF jar of Cambos who are ripping through the brf. 80% colonized in 6 or so days!

Not to mention that it's taking over the contamminant (lipstick mold) like nothing.

yeah I love cambo's for that reason they are one of the fastest colonizer;s I've worked with .
and they will take over most contamination's problem;s if you let them.
normal temp's are the rule.
