I've been listening to their remix cd. It's called Reanimation. um diggin it
What type of music do they make anyways? is it like hip hop? or would it be considered pop
Anyone else dig this cd?

Linkin park is amazing. Every member is really talented. Basically they're gods in the music scene. No one makes music as well as they do. Their music is full of passion and determination. Determination to make music that no one has ever heard before. The lead singer...one of the most original voices ever recorded. I'm thinking of naming my first born Linkin. Thats how much respect and love I have for these guys.

Their talented...but im not fan. It's way to general. Seems like they try to write music that appeals to everyone.

I'm not really a fan either, but they have blended 2 styles better than any other band (like Korn or Bizkit... 
But they've recently done something within the music business that might change the industry... and I don't like it.
They've decided, in the midst of Warner Music Group's IPO, that the label does not have the power and resources to fully support and promote their next albums. They have a contract for 4 more albums with Warner, and they're basically saying "if any of them flop, it's not our fault--it's yours because you are out of touch and can't promote it well enough."
This new statement of "if our art doesn't sell well, it's not our fault" will really shake up the industry. They're trying to get off the label or demand some exhorbatant amount of money... If it works, it will change record contracts, and the artist might not any longer be responsible if their album sucks. What if their next album is promoted the hell out of, but sucks bad and therefore doesn't sell?
Blame the label!

yup. Except, did RATM invent that genre or did they just make it get big? I dont' know the history of it that good. Never did get into RATM, never gave them a good listen either, though, but that album cover with that monk is awesome, and they are somewhere down on my list of things to explore more fully.

Linkin Park is crap.... in fact it is beyond crap. The only band ever I think to make a remix, of a remix. The nickelback brigade and the clear channel whores are mindless drones who are fatted calves fed crap for so long they cant tell when "art" is directly making fun of them. You are the lowest common denominator of music fans, and everyone knows it. You are easy targets. Try finding music instead of getting it hand fed to you....

Count how many times the words I, You, Me, Us, We ---- are said in their lyrics. It makes up atleast 40% of their lyrical content..... and they will continue to sing about their pseudo lives in that bland and generalizing self pity as long as you Linkin Park fans continue to fork over money for the same songs, with different lyrics.
