HI Guys, my name is robert and I live in Cali. Well Yesterday me and a bud of mine were in the back yard and found lots of growing mushrooms. It was growing in a area that was damp and under the pets bed. We picked one up and started smelling it read hard to see if any thing would happen. I did feel strang but not sick( yeah im weird lol). Im a newb at this so can someone please help me out and tell me of these are Majic mushrooms ..thanks

you started smelling it? why would you do such a thing and how did it make you feel funny. well dont mean to flame. the shroom looks legit to me, wouldnt eat it tho if it was growing under your pets bed. pinch the stem where you cut it to see if it turns purple, if it does then its good

The shroom looks legit to you? You mean it looks like a legit mushroom? Doesnt look like anything active to me.

I find shrooms that look just that here in TX but i dont eat em. Like i said, check to see if it bruises blue

No, they are not magic mushrooms.

From those rather poor photos they look like Coprinus (Inky Caps), probably close to Coprinus micaceus.

If you want an accurate ID you need to give us a detailed description. The sticky thread at the top of the forum includes a list of the things you need to describe.
