plz clear up shroom size Q

ive heard, among other factors, that substrate depth and/or casing depth greatly determine the size of the mushrooms. which has a greater effect, or do they both contribute equally?

They both contribute a lot. A deep substrate will give you more nutrients for the shrooms to grow, but shrooms are 90%=92% water so you are going to need a good casing layer to supply all this moisture.

peatmoss/verm 50/50 tek. yeah, definitely going to do my casing layer alot thicker than 1". still trying to figure out how much casing to make in order not to run out, almost there though.

Optimal spawn & ratio, substrate (nutriants), strain, substrate depth & moisture content, substrate container, type casing mixture & moisture retention/distribution capacity of the casing mix, ph, incubation / fruiting temps, fresh air exchange, rh & light cycle.

In other words, optimal everything will get you optimal size fruit & flushes.
