Last person on Earth
    #4174773 - 05/14/05 03:50 PM (11 years, 9 months ago)

No, everyone hasn't become a zombie. A nuclear holocaust hasn't happened. Everything is exactly as it was before you woke up, but as you begin walking around, you realize EVERYONE has disappeared.

What's the *first* thing you would do?

Once you established that there were absolutely no more people, what is the first survival step you'd take (food, water, etc)?

What stores would you clean out; what would your food source be? Would it be sustainable?

Would you stay in your locale or move around your country?

Where would you shack up, how would you equip your home, what would always be on hand?

How would this effect your current way of living? Happier, more lonely?

Would you still manage some farmland for marijuana and cultivate psychoactives?

Or would you do yourself in for the sake of the human virus to be gone forever?

Discuss.

I would first get naked.
Then I would find a really nice place to live and stock it up with gear. I might go sailing.

I dont know its like everything could be done you could do anything. That would be so cool and lame at the same time.

You can do anything but you can not share it with anyone.

I'd stock up on food, go to the DEA and FBI's office, find samples and suspected drug labs, take all the drugs I could find and then just wander around until I die, high, tripping, nodding, constantly on all the drugs humanity has left behind.

I'd probably have a short life, but it'd be a happy one.

I was talking about this with my friends except the difference was that it would be us four. I think I would live at Target for a bit. I would get wasted, and high almost every night, and trip once a month or so. I think I would also go to the Porsche dealership and drive some fast cars. In the end I think I would take my friend's bosses boat and survive with as much food, Alcohol, drugs, and fishing equipment I could into it. Fill it up with as much gas and go towards Brahmas or some Caribbean island, then sail there once I was outta gas. And Live out the rest of my time happily.

Fuck, I'd probably kill myself unless I had a female partner

Maybe not right away, I'd definitely stock up on beef jerky and other stuff that lasts a long time. I can't really say what I'd do unless it happened-- my instincts would kick in and I'd be running on autopilot.

I didn't trade with that guy, he's just being an asshole. I've never even talked to him let alone trade with him. He did the same thing to vinsue. I PM'd Ripple about it. I hope he gets banned.

Ya thats what I asked him to do. People can't just go around making false trade ratings. I didn't actually ask Ripple to ban him, just to take the rating off.

But seeing that I'm not the only person he's done this to, I'm thinking he might get banned anyways.

What's the *first* thing you would do?
Secure my home and basic survival needs of food and water, then plant a larger garden. Begin recording history and keeping records.

Once you established that there were absolutely no more people, what is the first survival step you'd take (food, water, etc)?
I could cover food, water, and shelter easily. I have a garden and live by a very clean river.

What stores would you clean out; what would your food source be? Would it be sustainable?
I would cleanout the closest stores with stuff that expires (meat, veggies) and have a massive feast to myself and smoke lots of herb. I could cultivate enough fruits, vegetables, and raise poultry and catch fish easily.

Would you stay in your locale or move around your country?
Whenever I got bored or needed a change of scenery, I would move to either the California coast, Gulf coast, or North Carolina coast--probably all three before I passed on.

Where would you shack up, how would you equip your home, what would always be on hand?
I live in a good place now, I would not equip my home except from insects and animals, I wouldn't have to worry about any human intruders.

How would this effect your current way of living? Happier, more lonely?
Loneliness would be inevitable--however, I know I could adapt, survival would demand it. My newfound freedoms would certainly make me happier.

Would you still manage some farmland for marijuana and cultivate psychoactives?
:smirk:

Or would you do yourself in for the sake of the human virus to be gone forever?
I won't be breeding, so I'll try to leave a good legacy and records for anyone that may come to Earth in the future.
