What the hell is this

While looking for some shrooms to trip on i found this. Its looks like a big liberty cap but im not sure ive only found 1 of this shroom and here it is. Also can anyone tell me what kind of shrooms grow in Idaho and what to look for. Im new to this area and not sure what is what. Anything would be a great help, thanks Nardogs

whats nardogs? and before asking what shrooms grow in your state which by the way is against the forums rules, please refer to the sites "mapping the mycelial network" to see which active mushrooms grow in your state. If your state is not listed in that document, you will only find panaeolus subbalteatus, on rotting hay stacks and horse manure, also found in well fertilized lawns and rich soil. Im guessing your referring to the mushroom in your avatar? That mushroom is not active. Most likely it's panaeolus campanulatus or the sorts, please also refer to the forums sticky thread on how to give us proper ID information!
